Recent News:

Recent Developments:

  • Draft rules were published by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in May 2025 for the series approval of solar photovoltaic modules for laboratory testing. In accordance with the Solar Systems, Devices, and Components Goods Order, 2025, these recommendations were designed to assist manufacturers and testing laboratories in the preparation and assessment of solar modules. By establishing guidelines for testing product families and managing modifications to design or materials, the goal was to guarantee consistency, safety, and quality in module manufacture.
  • Waaree Engines agreed to provide 596 MW of solar modules to a U.S.-based independent power producer for USD 176 million in May 2025. This module was produced at the Brookshire, Texas, location of Waaree Solar Americas, and it was expected to be delivered across four projects in FY 202627. Waaree's dedication to creating a strong, resilient, and technologically sophisticated renewable energy supply chain in the US is demonstrated by this deal.
  • The first industrial-standard solar photovoltaic modules with a maximum power output of 800W will be developed worldwide, according to a March 2025 announcement by Trinasolar. The maximum power output of the 3.1m2 modules, which were made using 210mm*105mm perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells, was 808W. This landmark for silicon/perovskite tandem solar modules marked a major advancement in tandem module manufacture.
