Global Cross Laminated Timber Market Size
Cross laminated timber market size was valued at USD 2.1 Billion in 2025 and is expected to reach USD 6.9 Billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 13.9%
Cross laminated timber, also referred to as Cross Laminated Timber or XLam, is a pre-assembled engineered wood lumber product composed of more than two layers of solid-sawn wood or structural composite. The layers are positioned so that the neighboring layers are cross-oriented and connected by glue or mechanical attachment to produce a solid wood part.
It is primarily used when building fast on-site or when assembling prefabricated construction structures. While building projects of a similar size using traditional materials may take several weeks and require a lot more manpower, a team of six specialists can install a structure up to 14,000 square feet each day, according to Structurlam.
