- QatarEnergy entered into a long-term agreement to supply ENEOS Corporation, a prominent refining and petrochemical company based in Japan, with up to 9 million tons of Naphtha over 10 years in June 2024. This agreement is the largest and longest commitment in more than a decade of collaborations between the two companies.
- JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation executed consortium agreements to manage investment in the Louisiana Green Fuels BECCS project at Port of Columbia, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana in April 2024. The Project is developing a sustainable aviation fuel (“SAF”) production plant with renewable Naphtha as a byproduct utilizing woody biomass waste, such as thinning, with the production capacity of 32 million gallons (120,000 kiloliters) per year.
