- In March 2024, a new teledermatology service has been launched at the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Telford, helping patients to have a faster diagnosis and treatment for skin cancer. A certified professional clinical photographer uses the service, which is provided by The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, to take a series of digital pictures of a patient's skin lesion. After that, a dermatologist receives the photos for a remote evaluation to determine whether the patient needs to visit the hospital for additional care.
