Genome Engineering Market Size

A set of technologies called "gene editing," or "meme editing," allows scientists to modify an organism's DNA. One technique for making precise modifications to a cell's DNA is called genome editing. Human genome engineering technology can be applied to germ-line cells (not for reproduction), somatic cells (not heritable), and germ-line cells (for reproduction). It can be used to add, remove, or alter DNA within the genome. This technology allows specific genome regions to add, remove, or replace genetic material. The artificial assembly of complete chromosomal DNA, roughly derived from natural genomic sequences, is known as genomic engineering. It is the alteration of the genetic code of an organism; the alteration includes nucleotide deletions to remove a gene, alter nucleotides to produce a mutation or add nucleotides to introduce a protein.
