Global Ethanolamines Market By Market Size

From its estimated US$ 2.4 billion in 2024 to US$ 3.9 billion by 2034, the ethanolamines market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.6%.

2-Aminoethanol, also referred to as ethanolamine, is an organic compound with two functions. There is one amine group and one alcohol group in its formulation. The chemical reaction between ammonia and ethylene oxide produces this molecule for industrial use.

There are three main categories for ethanolamine. Mono, di, and tri ethanolamine are the three forms of ethanol. Ethyleneamine is used to make ethanolamine-based cleaners, emulsifying agents, varnishes, polishes, analgesics, protective coatings, and chemical intermediates. Moreover, it serves as a precursor for the synthesis of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA), mono- and di-ethanolamine, and a chelating agent. Ethanolamine is a common surfactant found in conditioners, cosmetics, detergents for laundry and shampoos. Diethanolamine is also used in the production of agrochemicals and herbicides. Triethanolamine is most frequently found in gas treatment, detergents, and personal hygiene items.
