A CNG dispenser is a device that is used to fill cars with compressed natural gas (CNG). They have computerized pumping quantity and price counters installed. Natural gas is compressed by the compressor and sent into a network of connected pressure storage tanks. A dispenser or other equipment that fills pressure vessels within the car with compressed gas from the gas storage tank is used to actually fill the vehicle. The horizontal reciprocating (piston) compressor used in CNG filling stations is primarily made up of the internal connection, cooling unit, lubrication unit, anti-explosive electric motor, and main compression. Compared to gasoline-powered vehicles, CNG-powered vehicles have several advantages. At the pump, CNG has historically been substantially less expensive per gallon than gasoline or diesel.
