- EaglePicher Technologies' Medical Power division, which manufactures implantable batteries for medical devices, was acquired by Resonetics in February 2022. Resonetics will be able to manufacture state-of-the-art products as a result of this acquisition, and customers will have access to cutting-edge clinical applications that require small bioelectronics devices.
- As per an article published in the National Center for Biotechnology Information, Panasonic displayed its extensive array of batteries in April 2022 at MEDICA, the world's largest medical trade show held in Düsseldorf, Germany. These batteries have a wide range of applications in the healthcare and medical industry. In addition to the current lineup, Panasonic displayed numerous prototypes, such as the pin-type lithium-ion battery and the flexible polymer battery.
- The rechargeable Lithium-ion (Li-ion) TLI-1550HT batteries were introduced by Tadiran Batteries in June 2019. These batteries were made specifically for medical equipment that had to be autoclaved for sterilization at temperatures as high as 125 degrees Celsius.
