  • In July 2022, INEOS, announced acquisition of 50% stake in Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC). SECCO currently has the production capacity of 4.2 million tons of petrochemicals including ethylene, propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, polystyrene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, benzene and toluene. This is a 200-hectare facility located inside the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park. This will help the company increase its presence in China.
