  • Tecloman launched Cubox mobile energy storage in July 2024, utilizing the aerosol fire extinguisher method. Tecloman's new line of LFP power supply equipment is intended for use in applications such as road construction, emergency charging, and peak shaving. Alexandra Hu, Tecloman's VP of Global Market, says the business wants to eventually achieve a production capacity of approximately 20 GWh per year for its Cubox devices. The Cubox features multiple grips that enable a crane to lift it. They originally installed it in a truck, but due to changes in steering wheel position and narrower roads, they are currently working with a company in the United Kingdom to co-design a system. The company is working with one of the area's leading construction firms to design it with their logo.
  • Caterpillar Inc. announced the release of Cat Compact ESS, a novel mobile battery energy storage system that complements traditional mobile power solutions by lowering noise and allowing for the use of renewable energy. Customers that employ efficiency gains to minimize fuel consumption can save money on fuel, maintenance, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions when compared to using a generator continuously. The Cat Compact ESS module is designed for straightforward plug-and-play installation and integration, and it may be used with any combination of diesel, natural gas, or renewable energy sources like solar or wind.  It stores excess power from these energy sources and draws from it when needed.
