Recent News:

  • BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions (ECMS), a global leader in precious metal services and catalysis, and ZeroAvia, the leader in zero-emission propulsion solutions for commercial aviation, have signed an agreement for the supply of membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) and to collaborate on research on next generation MEAs for ZeroAvia’s world-leading high temperature proton exchange membrane (HT-PEM) fuel cell stacks for aviation in September 2023. The companies will work together to accelerate the commercialization of a high-powered and lightweight MEA for HT-PEM fuel cells, suitable for the aviation market.
  • In October 2021, Hydrogen propulsion system innovator HyPoint and chemical company BASF are joining forces developed high-performance membranes for use in HyPoint’s new hydrogen fuel cell system in October 2021. The membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) is expected to achieve more than 3,000-W/kg specific power, representing an increase of at least 50 percent over the current system while also reducing weight.
