Lithium Ion Capacitor Market Size
Lithium-ion Capacitor Market Size was valued at USD 26.5 Million in 2024 and is expected to reach USD 42 Million by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 5.2%
An LIC is an energy storage device combining lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitor technology. This hybrid technology thus bridges the gap between lithium-ion batteries' high energy density and supercapacitors' high-power density, addressing various unique applications demanding high energy and power capacities. LICs offer some advantages over typical energy storage methods. Their energy density exceeds that of supercapacitors, often in the range of 10 to 20 Wh/kg, or three to five times that of standard supercapacitors. Furthermore, the device has a high power density and can withstand rapid charge/discharge cycles with minimal degradation. Aside from that, they have a significantly longer cycle life than lithium-ion batteries.
