In Vitro Fertilization is a type of reproductive technology used to assist childless couples conceive. It is a step-by-step approach that begins with ovarian stimulation. This is the stage at which the woman will be given hormone therapy to stimulate her ovaries to generate more eggs. These will then be carefully monitored using blood tests and ultrasounds to determine the ideal time to extract them. Later, when the eggs have grown, the doctor extracts them using a minor surgical operation known as egg retrieval. It is usually done under minimal sedation, with a tiny needle guided into the vaginal wall to aspirate eggs from ovarian follicles. Simultaneously, the male partner or a donor's sperm is gathered. The retrieved eggs and sperm are then combined in the laboratory dish to allow fertilization. IVF facilities provide comprehensive services like as counseling, financial help, and emotional support during the process. Though IVF has helped many people achieve their dream of motherhood, its success rates are determined by factors such as age, underlying reproductive issues, and other health indicators.
