Recent News:

  • Veolia launched a site feasibility assessment in February 2024 as part of a pilot project to collect carbon emissions from non-recyclable biogenic waste combustion in UK energy recovery facilities (ERFs). The effort attempts to produce green fuels by capturing, extracting, and purifying CO2. Veolia indicated that the process might yield synthetic green end products, including kerosene, methanol, and specialty chemical compounds. The system, developed by Veolia's in-house design teams, uses Advanced Amine technology to capture carbon emissions from the combustion of non-recyclable biogenic waste, which accounts for about 60% of the carbon dioxide emissions produced during the incineration process.
