  • In November 2022, prepared foods brand bibigo launched microwavable multigrain rice bowls to its Southeastern Asian-inspired portfolio. The US food operations division of the Korean company CJ Cheiljedang, Bibigo operates under CJ Foods USA Inc. Bibigo's multigrain rice bowls are made with non-GMO ingredients and take 90 seconds to prepare in the microwave. The four varieties are brown rice and quinoa with garlic; brown rice and jasmine rice; brown rice and wild rice with garlic; and brown rice, wild rice, and red rice with onion.

In April 2020, Garden Fresh salsa founder launched new microwavable meals. Aronson's Royal Oak-based Clean Planet Foods Company produced the meals. The main goal of Clean Planet Foods is to create wholesome, chef-inspired proteins and other dishes. Microwavable, BPA-free pouches come in five varieties: grilled chicken and broccoli over rice; fajita chicken and vegetables over rice; chicken with corn over rice; and beef or cheese tortellini in a tomato sauce. By the end of the week, two vegan alternatives should be added to the menu.
